@deadlyshorts3: Lancashire Police have reopened the investigation into the death of Katie Beattie, 27, found dead at her flat in Lancaster on 1 July 2024, after almost two years of campaigning by her family. Her sister Kellie Rhodes says Katie had told their mother she was frightened of "predators" targeting her because they knew she was vulnerable, and that if they ever got into her flat they would "inject her in her feet". The family say Katie was found on her bed, partially naked, wearing one sock, with bruising on her body and what they believe was a puncture wound between the fourth and fifth toes of her left foot — the foot that appeared to have been cleaned, while the other had "sock fluff" between the toes. A bottle of washing-up liquid was found beside her. Detectives originally concluded the death was not suspicious, meaning no blood samples were taken; by the time a forensic post-mortem was carried out nine days later, the family say it was too late. An inquest at Preston Coroners' Court in June 2025 found it was not possible to determine how she died. What I don’t get is ..the post mortem couldn’t say why she died yet they decided her death wasn’t suspicious …🤦🏻‍♀️honestly that’s Absolutely disgusting !!! Yet here the family are the ones who want answers and need them but it’s disgusting that they would leave this case …I hope her family get answers and if they find out the truth sack the lot who was dealing with the case!!!
