@browneyedgurl801: Katie Brown, a 27-year-old dancer from the UK, woke up one morning thinking she was having very painful period cramps. By 7am, the pain had become so severe that she called an ambulance for help. As paramedics helped Katie walk outside toward the ambulance, something completely unexpected happened. She suddenly dropped to her hands and knees and gave birth to a baby boy on the pavement. Her mother, Diane, was there and caught the baby. The baby, named William, was born at around 9:40am. He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he spent a short time in an incubator. Apart from that, he was healthy. Doctors later explained that Katie had experienced a cryptic pregnancy. Because she was taking the contraceptive pill, the monthly bleeding she experienced was actually withdrawal bleeding and not a true period. William had also been positioned high inside her womb, which meant Katie never developed a visible baby bump. Katie later shared her surprising story on ITV’s *This Morning* in April 2026. She appeared on the program with her mother, Diane, and Dr. Zoe Williams to talk about the unexpected birth.
