The 07’ ice storm was bad in southwest MO, I remember we had to live in our shop for a week just because it has a wood stove in it. I was only 3 at the time

So I remember the 07 ice storm and I was six or seven when it hit we had to go stay at my grandma’s cause he was the only place with a wooden stove that we could go to. I don’t even remember how we got there.

Ew max as an eastern Oklahoman who lived through the 2007 ice storm, please no. I live in Joplin during the 07’ storm. Power was out for like two weeks and my family had to go stay in a hotel because there was no power.

I remember 07. I had just graduated high school the year before and my dad who had lifelong mental issues went to live with my grandma because my mom divorced him the second I graduated. I had to feed his cows through that. I’m talking chopping net wrap off with an axe, the bales were just covered in a sheet of ice. We were out of power over two weeks. You could stand outside and just hear nothing but trees cracking and breaking. The national guard even drove by in a hummer and offered us water.
