@xtremecowgirl: situated along the Bedford and Fulton County border is the abandoned Rays Hill Tunnel. closed in 1968 due to being unsafe. you had four lanes of highway, two in each Direction. but once you got to this tunnel in the one further down in Fulton county, the two lanes would narrow into one to go through the tunnel, which caused issues. it was cheaper to find a way around then to widen the existing tunnels. there is now a rail trail, that takes you to raise Hill Tunnel, and through the Sidling tunnel, further into Fulton County. I actually had not been too interested in doing this trip but my son was. boy was I wrong about this location! these Town Halls were kind of epic!#adventure #explore #Pennsylvania #History #abandoned
