@ivo_ug2: 🚨 Ibrahim Mbaye finally reveals why he chose Aston Villa over Liverpool after dreaming of an Anfield move all summer: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Ibrahim, let’s go back to the summer. Everyone thought you were heading to Liverpool. You wanted Liverpool, Liverpool wanted you, and fans were already imagining you alongside Barcola. Then suddenly, Aston Villa announced you out of nowhere. What actually happened? Ibrahim Mbaye: “Honestly, Liverpool was the move I wanted at the time. I won’t sit here and pretend otherwise. I admired the club, I knew what it meant, and I was excited by the possibility of playing at Anfield. When you believe something is going to happen and then it doesn’t, of course you’re disappointed. I’m human. “But football doesn’t wait for you to finish being disappointed. At some point, you have to ask yourself, ‘What’s my next move? Where can I grow? Who is ready to trust me?’ “Then Aston Villa came into the picture, and things moved very quickly. No endless rumours, no weeks of noise on social media. One moment, people were talking about Liverpool; the next moment, I was a Villa player! Even my friends were probably asking, ‘Wait, when did this happen?’ “But when I spoke to Villa, I felt there was a real opportunity for me to develop, contribute and show what I could do. I didn’t want to spend my career wondering what might have happened at Liverpool. I wanted to build something of my own” Interviewer: “And now you’re coming off the bench against Manchester City, assisting Nicolas Jackson with your first touch, and Villa fans are already falling in love with you. Did you expect this kind of start? Mbaye: “My first touch was an assist? I think Nicolas owes me dinner! “But seriously, moments like that are why I play football. You wait for your opportunity, you prepare, and when the coach sends you on, you have to be ready. I didn’t come to Aston Villa just to wear the shirt. I came to make a difference” “And to Liverpool fans, I have nothing but respect for you. I know some of you were disappointed, especially because you thought the club would sign both me and Barcola. I understand that. But please don’t look at my decision as a rejection of Liverpool as a club. Sometimes, two things can be true: you can admire one club and still believe another is the right place for your career. “Liverpool was a dream I had. Aston Villa is the opportunity I’m living right now. And I’m going to give everything I’ve got to this club” “I don’t need to prove Liverpool made a mistake. I just need to prove Aston Villa made the right decision.” Interviewer: “So, if Liverpool came back for you in the future, would you listen? Mbaye: “Why do you people want to get me into trouble already? I’ve only just arrived at Villa! Let me play my football first. The future can wait.”#creatorsearchinsights #sportscontent #goviral #Fyp
