heavy traffic is wild for the 70s, mild for the 90s, outrageous and borderline illigal in the usa in 2026. im sure a copy would end you in jail in the uk

Ralph Bakshi is one of the most talented dudes ever. He deserves more recognition then he gets. His films are amazing. I know he did a lot of regular animation too. He's been more active on FB lately. So I hope we get some more of his artwork easily shown.

I freaking love '70s animation so much it's so beautiful we need this type of animation back but sadly it won't come back except for independent animators

Of course it’s because it’s an animation. The amount of times I’ve been given hell for watching “dumb baby cartoons” when it’s media produced for adults is heartbreaking. Of course because they won’t get to experience what I have by enjoying it, but also because it ultimately does affect the creator. 😔

surprisingly good animation for a low budget too, the bullet POV of him getting shot is mindblowing (literally! 🤓)

a lot of bakshis stuff in that era is either super racist or easily misperceived as being so depending on who you ask.
