Y’all I was testing out recipes so the dough was adapted by @Zakia B. Nutella churro version by me. Nutella centers About 6 portions of Nutella (roughly 1 tbsp each) Dough * 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted * 1/2 cup light brown sugar * 1/2 cup white granulated sugar * 1 large egg * 1 tsp vanilla extract * 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour * 1 tsp baking soda * 1/2 tsp baking powder * 1/2 tsp salt * Optional: 1 tsp cinnamon in the dough * Cinnamon sugar coating * 1/4 cup white sugar * 1 tbsp cinnamon, plus more for dusting * Instructions 1. Scoop the Nutella onto a parchment-lined plate and freeze until firm, 30-60 minutes. 2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 3. Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using) in a bowl. Set aside. 4. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar for 2-3 minutes. 5. Add the egg and vanilla and mix. 6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing just until no flour is left. 7. Chill the dough 30-60 minutes. 8. Mix the cinnamon sugar in a shallow bowl. 9. Scoop a large ball of dough and flatten it. Set a frozen Nutella portion in the center and wrap the dough around it, sealing any gaps. 10. Roll the ball in the cinnamon sugar. 11. Place on a parchment-lined pan, spaced 2-3 inches apart. 12. Bake at 350°F for 11-12 minutes (start checking at 8-10 on a dark pan), until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underdone. 13. Dust with more cinnamon sugar while warm. Let them set on the pan for 5-10 mins #cookies #cookierecipe #cottagebakery #southflorida #palmbeach
