Save a copy first. 1) Home > Find & Select > Go To Special > Constants > tick Numbers only > OK: every typed-over cell lights up. 2) Click the wrong total > Formulas > Trace Precedents. Ctrl + ` (key under Esc) shows all formulas. 3) Copilot in Excel (or Claude on a copy you're allowed to upload): "Explain this workbook tab by tab like I'm the new hire. Which tabs feed which, which formulas pull from other files, which numbers are typed in by hand. Flag anything that looks like a patch. Under one page." 4) Paste into a new tab named README, first line = last reviewed, date, your name. 5) Right-click each typed-over cell > New Comment > why.
