because may wants to protect daisy more than anything but is also the only person who understands why she left and why she doesn’t want to come back. she anted so badly to protect her from going through the pain she suffered in bahrain only to witness it happen to daisy first hand. they’re always a direct parallel of one another throughout the entire series and the dynamic between them is so complex and deep im sick to my stomach about them
