Adriana Dukić (Adri) and Angelina Aćimović (Gina) were 14 years old and shared the class 7/2 classroom at the Vladislav Ribnikar School in Belgrade. Their friendship became a symbol of unity and unconditional affection in Serbia. Two lives that crossed paths in Belgrade. Gina's welcome: Adriana was born in France and moved with her family to Serbia in 2022. Integrating into a new school midway through classes was not easy, but Angelina was the first to welcome her with open arms, offering her friendship from day one. Brilliant personalities: Those who knew them said that Adri was an extremely sweet young woman, an excellent student, and bilingual, with the firm dream of becoming a biologist in the future. Meanwhile, Gina stood out for being extremely creative, kind, intelligent, and a natural artist whose great aspiration was to be a fashion designer. Their complicity in photos and memories: The two teenagers did everything together: studied, recorded funny videos, shared clothes, and went out for walks around the city. Many of their happy moments have been shared on social media: The day before the tragedy: On May 2, 2023, Adri and Gina spent the afternoon together at a shopping mall. They bought clothes, took selfies in mirrors, and recorded videos laughing. That material captured the last joyful afternoon of their youth. Messages of unity: Among the photos kept by their families are images of both of them in the classroom, hugging or making everyday jokes. In one of their notebooks, they wrote notes with funny phrases in French about 'surviving together' through school exams.
