@professoroverdraft: What happens to your money if your bank fails. Bank runs are real, but most people's deposits are protected. 1. Banks lend out most deposits, so a panic can collapse a bank. 2. Silicon Valley Bank failed in about two days in 2023. 3. FDIC insurance covers deposits up to $250,000 per depositor, per bank, per ownership category. 4. Insured depositors usually get access within a couple of business days. 5. Money above the limit isn't guaranteed, and stocks or crypto in an app aren't FDIC insured. Check that your bank is a Member FDIC and know where the limit is. What topic should I cover next? Drop it in the comments, and follow for more. #financialfreedom #fyp #Finance #MoneyHabits
