Kanye really made a gospel rap song about Chick-fil-A and somehow made it one of the most unforgettable moments on JESUS IS KING. 😭🙏 “Closed on Sunday” dropped in 2019, and it’s a perfect example of how unpredictable Kanye’s music can be. The song blends stripped back hip hop production with gospel influences, turning a fast food reference into a bigger message about faith, protecting your family and stepping away from social media to focus on what matters. That contrast is what makes the track so memorable. The hook became a meme almost instantly, but underneath the jokes, Kanye was serious about the message. The song belongs to JESUS IS KING, his gospel focused album that marked a major shift in the sound and themes of his music. 📈 Chart performance: “Closed on Sunday” debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaked at No. 20 on the UK Official Singles Chart, and reached No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It was also certified Gold by the RIAA in the US. A track that had people questioning the lyrics, quoting the hook and talking about the message all at once. 💿 @ye Follow @lyricsmusiconcerts for more. #fyp #music #lyrics - @lyricsmusiconcertss
