Feat of clay, Mudslide, and One bad day are some of the deeper inspirations I saw in the film.. and honestly, I went into the film with very leveled expectations. A body horror clayface film, adapting some aspects from the animated series. Alright, I wasn’t expecting anything groundbreaking but I was at least expecting to find it interesting.. and by the time the film ended, interesting could not even describe the experience I had. This movie was so much better than I thought it was going to be, it’s not perfect but hell it is still one of the best solo villain films that has been made from either studio. Amazing visuals, and a very good story that adapted from some of my favourite stories in other media. Honestly, this movie is going to make an amazing addition to my collection. 4.6/5

Nadahz Noir :
this movie had no business being this good. It felt like a throwback tragic universal monster flick. well done DCU.

Mudslide being a twisted and fantastical portrayal of the aids crisis will always stick out to me

Clayface marks what direct Adaptations should be trying to do. It takes ideas from the source (BTAS is an adaptation but it was foundational to Batman comics), understands what purposes those things served, and molded them like clay to fit the story being told

Yeah Clayface attempting to suffocate Batman in mudslide (which is how he kills his best friend in the movie) and using the Grapnel to escape was ingrained in my brain as a kid watching it. Also I coulda swore when casting was revealed Dr corr was listed as dr bates same as the episode. Not sure why they changed it.
