@jasmine.wiese: Her words ❤️ A LITTLE HELP FOR A MOM OF 9 WHO’S TRYING HER BEST ❤️ I never thought I’d find myself in a position where I would have to ask for help like this, but sometimes life happens, and even when you’re doing everything you can, things can still fall apart. In my 21 years of being a mom, I have never experienced having my electricity shut off. I’m working, trying to provide for my nine children, and doing everything in my power to keep our household going. Unfortunately, I’ve hit a hard spot financially, and I’m trying to figure out how to get through it. What hurts the most is that instead of someone reaching out to ask what was going on or whether we needed help, someone chose to contact DCS and make claims about our situation that I can show are not accurate. Now, on top of trying to get our electricity restored, I’m dealing with DCS and a deadline to get the situation resolved. I understand that people have opinions, but I wish more people understood that struggling financially does not mean someone doesn’t love their children or isn’t trying their best. Some families have more than enough, while others are living paycheck to paycheck and trying to make every dollar stretch. Sometimes unexpected situations happen, and it can take just one difficult moment to turn everything upside down. I’m not asking for handouts because I don’t want to work or provide for my kids. I’m asking for help because I’m a mom who is trying to get through a difficult situation and make things right for her family. This situation has been embarrassing and stressful enough without the judgment and negativity. I’ve created a GoFundMe to help raise the remaining money needed to get our electricity turned back on. My goal is to have everything taken care of by Monday so we can get back to our normal lives and move forward.
