For those who don't remember, as soon as Ronaldo stepped onto the stage to receive his award, he broke down in tears. Cristiano Jr was allowed to join him on stage, and Ronaldo could barely find the words to express everything he was feeling in that moment. Pelé was a true gentleman that night. He understood just how emotional Ronaldo was and comforted him with his words and kindness. Just look at Pelé's eyes in these photos and you can see how deeply he was moved by Ronaldo's emotions. And look at Pelé's smile as he watched Ronaldo holding the trophy. Pure happiness. What a beautiful night that was.
