Clayface trying to be standalone movie in a universe where heroes exists. It tries making references to Batman, when it should not have to do so. The Joker movie worked because it happened before there was a Batman. This is a movie that doesn’t fit into horror category nor thriller. It floats between the two but doesn’t establish what it wants to be. It wasn’t a bad movie nor was it good. Not a rewatchable movie, also it’s not a movie that contributes to the new DCU. You can skip it and you won’t miss a thing in the DCU

James Gunn has stated that his universe isnt structured like the Mcu he wants it to be structured like star wars so he can tell different stories at different time periods… it’s not going to be like a traditional cinematic universe…

This is an L take… world building was good, but not too good to say “ah I know what Gotham is about” this is West Gotham slums and gangs and from other DCU projects we know that Batman is a URBAN MYTH not technically confirmed by the police and reporters yet… ALSO I loved seeing the scenery of Gotham and its slums and all the different locations that you see in the comics in the background
