While visiting a memory care unit 5y ago, a woman walked up to me and was as coherent as the sky was blue, and she grabbed my hand and begged me for help to get out of there. I still think about her.

Your videos get thousands of views. How is that not good enough for the creator fund??

My father in law has early onset dementia. He is 69 now, his symptoms started almost 10 years ago. People look at him and think he’s fine because he’s very physically healthy. He walks well and can engage occasionally. They don’t see at home how he struggles to feed himself, needs full assistance toileting, needs us to dress him, can’t swallow pills so his meds have to be crushed, and he barely says a word all day. I see what you mean about patients on the memory care unit being able to trick people! It’s very deceiving. I wish you got paid, seeing your content and insights has been so helpful for me to understand more of what my father in law is experiencing. Sometimes we only see how difficult it is for us, we forget how difficult it is for them. Sending you lots of love ❤️

My grandfather was diagnosed in his early 50s with early onset Alzheimer’s, and he was very much like you said, able to trick people and hide it for a long time, I think a lot of people did not know that he had anything going on, especially when he would wander off and get lost, and then he would act like nothing was wrong when we found him miles down the road or somebody else would find him, he would act like he just been walking taking stroll, which he never did did you hide it? They hide it really well. It’s scary being a caregiver.

Showtiming. Can hold it together for a strong desire. But you said yourself, it's taxing. im sure those patients didn't "fool" the staff and hopefully continued to receive care🥰❤️

You often mention word loss and momentary confusion about where you are. In the beginning (and now) did you lose things often? I feel like u spend half of my day looking for things that my husband “just had.” Things like his phone, that turns out to be in his left back pocket instead of his right back pocket, his glasses, his measuring tape, or his notebook. He also hesitates on words and ALWAYS uses a gps to get around our own hometown. Although he has ADHD, which I know can cause some of this, his mother died with no memory of who anyone was. In fact, the last three years of her life were lost to her. Thank you so much for sharing your painful journey with us. I’m sure you are helping so many people.

Yeah it's funny people think that content creators automatically make a bunch of money I made $11 from Facebook last month. Lol.

That doesn’t sound right that you aren’t paid because you’re certainly educating us on early onset Alzheimer’s.

My best friends mom had the front desk lady call a taxi for her. Apparently she didn’t recognize her as a patient and her mom used to be a speech pathologist so when she wasn’t having episodes she seemed very normal.
