@crimetalkwithscottreisch: EX-NBA SHARPSHOOTER MALIK BEASLEY IS NOW NEGOTIATING A PLEA DEAL IN THE FEDS' GAME-FIXING CASE New York. In July he pleaded not guilty. Now former NBA guard Malik Beasley is working on a deal. Beasley's attorney said Saturday they're negotiating a plea agreement with the Justice Department, "with an expected direction in the coming days." Prosecutors say Beasley, 29, fixed or tried to fix his own play in at least four games with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024, going over or under what the bookmakers expected. In exchange, the indictment says, bettors paid him off, and his gambling debts to former teammate Ed Davis were cut or wiped out. He's charged with wire fraud conspiracy, bribery in sporting contests, honest services wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy. Beasley last played for the Detroit Pistons in 2024-25. He's one of only five players in NBA history to hit more than 300 threes in a season. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. #CrimeTalk #TrueCrime #MalikBeasley #NBA #SportsBetting #GameFixing
