Shackleton and his crew's story is the most incredible survival story EVER. Amazing no one died! They even got chased by leopard seals following them under the ice and jumping out as they jumped between ice sheets!

I truely believe that journey from Elephant Island to South Georgia is one of the single greatest feats of navigation in recorded history. Performed entirely by dead reckoning in unbelievely difficult conditions and with a level of precision that is shockingly high.
