if you enjoyed Jesse Plemons acting here, you should watch the Black Mirror ep he’s in he plays a similarly creepy character

I mean it didn’t really matter who he had as his partner either could’ve worked if Walter wasn’t constantly trying to fuck everything up for no reason

The scenes with Todd in el Camino are even more horrifying. Just genuine glee to be torturing Jesse knowing he’ll do nothing about it because he’s been broken

One thing I noticed on a rewatch is Walt likes to be in control but Jessie pushes back and I think a part of Walter wants that. Walter doesn’t just want control he wants to control difficult and dangerous situations, and Jessie is a difficult case. It’s part of the reason why Walter destroyed everything he wasn’t in it for the money he was in it for the rush of pride it gave him, when he outwitted Tuco for the first time he got a high off of the win. It’s why he hated working with Gale and Todd it was either too easy or on equal footing.

Todd was always just going to listen to his uncle and is a complete psycho. Would’ve gotten Walt killed waaaaay earlier
