26 weeks Pregnant and my ferritin was 3.1 29 weeks now and im sure its worse. Yet, im still begging for a iron infusion. Ive explained ive had blood transfusions with all my other pregnancies with higher levels. These drs dont care!

Hey, just a heads up if you have low ferritin or low iron levels as a woman there is a cause for that check for endometriosis or PCOS cause there is something that is taking your iron and you just don’t know it

I've been iron deficient anemia all of my life and I had my doctor refer me to a hematologist, a gastroenterologist and I see my gynecologist. It was the best decision. I found out so much.

I’m 7 months pregnant and found out my ferritin is at 6, they gave me iron pills and I still feel like crap I begged for an infusion and I finally get one next week.

was recently diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia and before I started taking iron pills I thought I was dying 😭 it’s been about a week since I been taking iron supplements and although I still have some down moments… ive felt the best I have in YEARS. I have been sick constantly since May. Please take ur iron supplements 😭

Ask your physician to run an Anemia Panel … a hemoglobin test alone doesn’t tell the entire story.
