@viralsanctuarysports: UCF Knights, BYU Cougars, Keyone Jenkins, college football upset: unranked UCF stunned No. 2 BYU 39-31 in double overtime on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Orlando, the first win over a top five team in UCF program history. BYU (6-1) arrived unbeaten, one week after knocking off then No. 2 Notre Dame, and the Cougars survived regulation when they blocked Will Stone's potential game winning field goal in the final seconds to force overtime. The teams traded touchdowns in the first overtime. In the second, a roughing the kicker penalty gave UCF a fresh set of downs, and Jenkins cashed it in with a touchdown pass to Grayson Brousseau, then found Tyren Hornes for the two point conversion. BYU drove to the UCF 4 yard line, but Bear Bachmeier's fourth down pass fell incomplete and the fans stormed the field at the Bounce House. Jenkins threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns for UCF (4-3). BYU's loss leaves Miami, Utah and UCLA as the only undefeated teams left in the FBS, and the Cougars are the seventh top 10 team to lose in the last two weeks. Is BYU still a College Football Playoff team after this, or did UCF just end that run?
