@origin.tech.docs: What happens if a payment request times out, but the payment actually succeeded? Your app retries the request, and the customer could get charged twice. Stripe solves this problem with idempotency keys. When creating a payment, your backend sends a unique key with the request. If the same operation is retried using that key, Stripe can return the original result instead of executing the payment again. This makes retries safer when networks fail or responses get lost. In payment systems, handling retries correctly is just as important as processing payments. #Stripe #Idempotency #PaymentSystems #BackendDevelopment #SystemDesign #APIDesign #SoftwareEngineering
