Brainiac is about to shoot Superman. Lex jets and pushes him out of the way saving them both. Lex makes Superman swear to never tell a soul as long as he lives. Lex says he only did it because he needs Superman for this mission. But, Superman smiles knowing Lex still has some good in him. At the end, Lex and Superman need to sabotage Brainiacs ship and work on the plans together. Superman says he's the only one who can trigger the bomb. Lex knocks him out with kryptonite and says "you'd get it wrong, Superman", sending him in an escape pod back to earth. Lex triggers the bomb sacrificing himself for Superman and humanity. Clark writes a story for the Daily Planet titled "Man of Tomorrow" about how Lex sacrificed himself for the future of humanity. But keeps his promise to not tell anyone he saved Superman ;). Post Credits Scene-Mercy sends a LexCorp ship to collect his body and finds a motherbox in brainiacs ship the team collects.
