@blakereedevans: Before you do another BASE BREAK/BUMP, here are 3 things I want you to consider! đđŒ 1ïžâŁ Is your client ready for the maintenance? I LOVE a soft base break, but soft doesnât always mean low maintenance! Unlike highlights, a base break shifts the natural color between the foils, which means youâre going to see regrowth sooner. Make sure your client understands that before committing! 2ïžâŁ What application method makes the most sense? Not every base break should be applied the same way! If your client has never had one before OR theyâre coming in with significant regrowth, consider a modern virgin or tradition virgin color application. Application and timing matter, especially when youâre working with different starting points! 3ïžâŁ Is your client comfortable with warmth? THIS IS A BIG ONE! đđŒ When you lift natural pigment, youâre exposing underlying warmth. You can control it, refine it, and tone it, but you canât pretend it doesnât exist. Even the coolest base breaks have the potential to reveal warmth as the color fades. At the end of the day, a beautiful base break isnât just about the formula. Itâs about choosing the right client, the right application, and setting realistic expectations! #haireducation #basebreak #hairtok
