@vanessameyersweden: We often celebrate individual judgment, like a smart analyst or confident expert. But at work, a judgment that no one else understands or can act on provides little value. Good decisions are made together, even when one person is ultimately responsible for them. The person making the decision needs to hear what others see and believe to be true. Each of us only sees part of the picture. When we compare notes and work through disagreements, a more comprehensive picture is formed. Only then can people act on it together. Differentiated value is no longer found by having a good individual opinion; it's found by turning many good opinions into one shared understanding. #Collaboration #DecisionMaking #SharedUnderstanding #WorkplaceInsights #Leadership
