I literally had to let my family member figure out on their own that the remote for the tv wasn’t working cause it needed new batteries. Took them 2 weeks to figure out.

I got in a huge argument with my mom over this... She mentioned that her 52 year old husband has a hard time with awareness in the grocery store and bumps into people and knocks things off shelves etc. and I was like ????? your husband can’t lock in and behave for 20 minutes? That is embarassing!! I do not love people that behave inappropriately and refuse to change it. Nobody will be embarrassing me in public. 😭

ok i’m like this too and hear me out— i think some of it is rooted in fear. fear of looking dumb or being vulnerable or being inconvenient to others in public. so you plan everything ahead and make sure there’s no room for error.
