As a Tech fan, I want the kid to do well, but MAN have we had some “eh” QB play the last 2 seasons with a couple of the most complete teams Texas Tech has ever assembled. Hammond seems to be a good dude, but our Offense just doesn’t have any legitimate giddy-up this season. Back in the day with Leach, Tech could be down 21 going into the 4th quarter, and you still felt like you had a legitimate chance to come back… or if we were ahead and found a weak link in the Defense, a game could go from 21-17 to 47-17 in the blink of an eye. I just don’t get that feeling with Hammond at the helm, and as good of a young man as Morton was last season, I never got that sense with him, either. They both just seem like little kids out there playing a grown man’s game.

As a Cincy fan, I still think Satterfield is holding our team back and think he needs to be gone. But the way Tech fans were talking over these last 6+ months about putting us in the dirt with the offseason drama, this win was sooooooo satisfying 😁
