My “child” is 24 now but I still notice the new moms. You always will. The baby crying and toddler acting up-I still try and make eye contact with the mom and say I Understand with my eyes. Every age has been my favorite. Thanks for sharing your journey, you speak to so many of us with your beautiful voice ♥️

I remember when I was 2 weeks postpartum at my husband PhD graduation and another mom with her kids came out of her way to tell me how amazing it was I was there and that she was proud of me. I think of that all the time still a year and a half later.

That line where you said when you hear a child crying in the store you don’t even hear the child anymore but think about the mother and wish you could help her. That’s me. I literally am never bothered by a child, because I’m always thinking of the mother.

Ahhh...yes, "the sway"! I still catch it myself while I stand in line in a store. And my baby just turned 18. It becomes part of you, and I love it. I see others doing it too...its like we're part of a very special, secret society. ❤️

The “when I hear a child or a baby crying in a store, I notice the mom” part just hit me. Today we were at a pumpkin patch & this mom’s baby was screeching crying, the mom was in a panic and doing everything she could to stop her baby from crying. I just smiled and nodded at her, wanting so badly to tell her it’s okay. That she’s doing a great job.
