old school tradition for people who love the game. they keep track of everything that happens on the field on a scorecard meant specifically for this. it makes a for a nice keepsake too. not sure why you're flipping out over what the crowd is doing though... I mean there's baseball on!

She’s taking stats. I was a stat girl. Every pitch, hit, run, catch…anything is a mark. Lots of people take stats in the stands you just don’t see it as much anymore.
