it is misogynistic. despite all these women being superhuman mikey slapping them on the face extremely lightly and not even stomping their head does the same amount of damage as when he repeatedly punches and stomps the male characters. it’s just another way to show that even in a fictional setting where everyone is unrealistically strong women are still below men. i believe this would fall under benevolent misogyny

As someone who has read Tokyo Revengers (tho admittedly I forgot most of the plot), it's a huge point in Mikey's character that he doesn't hit women and he has reasons for it. For one, he has a sister named Emma, and he literally changed his name (the name people should refer to him as) to Mikey for her sake. I believe he initially acted misogynistic towards Emma but later on changed because of her (this could be wrong so feel free to correct me). When Hina (the MC's crush/gf) slapped him IN PUBLIC because of a misunderstanding, all he did was threatening her jokingly and walked off. Not to mention most of not all of his friends are very respectful towards women (Draken was raised by women who worked in a brothel and is on very good terms with them, Mitsuya is the president of a sewing club that has mostly female members, another friend (the chubby one with blond hair I forgot his name) has a girlfriend who was r@p€d and is *DEVASTATED* by the tragedy, etc...) After ALL OF THAT you *would* think a *teenager* like him who's surrounded by people who respect women, deeply cares for his sister and later down the line has trauma related to said sister wouldn't hit women He's not even belittling her in this scene, he's just acting threatening and imposing then leaves her alone cuz the girl is already injured and frightened instead of SMASHING HER HEAD OFF. Leave the teenager with strong morals alone omfg

I don't know what's wrong with people. That's literally Mikey's character. He literally made a rule on Toman that no one can hit a woman because he's a Mama's boy and he has a freaking SISTER. Misogynistic means looking down on Women but in Mikey's case he respects them.
