I think the reason the vibe is so weird is partly because they're never discussing jokes. She thinks she's making jokes and being funny and childish but no one is laughing? They're all being completely serious and bringing up the things she's said, using points she's said like actual arguments, and she's taking it like it's playful teasing or banter and revelling in how it makes her the centre of attention/making her look childish and silly. She thinks it's funny that she asked for quarters and they're playfully arguing but everyone is being completely serious it's kind of tense and uncomfortable to watch..
