@sharenoseperfume: #SOTN | Byredo | Future Memories There’s a thin line between love and hate, and Byredo Future Memories sits right on it. What I smell is an almost electric green opening of galbanum, tart blackcurrant and sparkling aldehydes, softened by powdery orris before settling into a creamy, slightly boozy vanilla wrapped in warm amber and musk. And I think that’s exactly why it’s so polarizing. What some people experience as sharp, sour or overly synthetic, others find beautifully unconventional. That tension between bitter green freshness and creamy warmth never quite disappears. It reminds me of Vanille Antique and Angélique Noire, but with a strange, almost futuristic brightness. Sometimes the difference between loving and hating a fragrance isn’t what you’re smelling. It’s how you feel about what you’re smelling.
