My mom got irritated at a middle aged Hispanic woman at Burger King because of this. They both got irritated they couldn’t understand each other 😭. Went into the store to get clarification, NOBODY spoke good enough English or understood certain words. It was a mess.

I (white) and my friend (black) were both rejected at the local Mickey D’s as teenagers because we didn’t speak Spanish. We ended up ironically working at Taco Bell and that’s where we met and discovered we had both been rejected from McDonald’s for the same reason 😂

I worked in a TGIFridays kitchen and the management couldn't fix any staffing problems because they filled the kitchen and the host with their family with the threat that if you let one of us go, we all leave. I went to get new phones in store and had to wait almost 40 minutes because the girl working didn't even know enough English to tell me that she speaks no English and that I would have to wait until the English speaker comes in. My 14 and 15 year old sons scrubbed their reachable area for work this summer and no one would hire them because of the exact things this video discussed. I am building my own business because i refuse to be down while my government is playing blind about this issue.
