@angrypanada: In 1919, Dutch Jewish journalist Jacob Israël de Haan moved to Palestine as a Zionist. He later opposed Zionist nationalism and sought dialogue with Arab leaders. On 30 June 1924, he was assassinated in Jerusalem by members of the Zionist paramilitary Haganah — 24 years before Israel was established. Political terrorism existed long before this assassination, including attacks by Russian revolutionaries and Irish militants in the 1800s. Terrorism did not begin with Islam.
