Adam Metz. Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in years. Let me tell you a story about Adam. Back when we were kids in the late ’90s and early 2000s, we all used to rollerblade around Circle Pines. One of our regular stops was a warehouse with a loading dock that had two sets of four stairs leading up to a platform, with a door near one of the staircases. We’d jump up one set of stairs, skate across the platform, and then jump down the other side. Well, one day, Adam was doing exactly that when someone decided to open the door right as he was jumping off. The timing couldn’t have been worse. Adam got absolutely destroyed. I don’t think this story does anything to help the search for Adam, but it does serve as a reminder of just how unlucky that poor bastard was.
