@channelnewsasia: Singapore and Indonesia continue to enjoy strong bilateral relations despite Jakarta's decision to cut gas exports to Singapore, said Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry) Tan See Leng on Sunday (Oct 25). Responding to reporters' questions about whether other factors, including Singapore's comments on the haze issue, could have influenced Indonesia's decision, Dr Tan said the two countries have built strong partnerships over many decades. He acknowledged that Indonesia may have domestic gas supply needs and bottlenecks. Dr Tan also noted that Indonesia had curtailed gas exports previously, including earlier this year due to pipeline repairs and maintenance. #singapore #sgnews
