we dead care about body parts too much like just cuz they are inherently covered often does not mean it’s always sexual

I can understand and the see the points a lot of people are making and they are fair. I will say that in art nudity isn't always supposed to be depicted or interpreted as sexual. To me Talias design came off to me to show how much of maelstroms influence has changed her and her being chromed up all the time to show how much she cares very little for her own humanity due to her illness. I also just feel nothing for her cause its animated minor. As for the interactions with Roman thats another discussion honestly and they definitely could have depicted it better. This is also studio trigger so if their intention was for it to be sexual than I'm not surprised to be honest. All we really know about Talias age is that shes a teenager 13-19 id say 15 is probably the safest bet, idk how people get 13 or 19, cause her chroom makes her look taller and older than she really is and does act much like how a young teenager with the rebellious stuff. I do see people argue that it would have been better if she was over 18 or if all the characters were older than 18 and it wouldn't change the story. I'd like to argue that it would cause the story is shown through Roman's perspective a lot and him being child he's going to be naive and not understand how deep the stuff in his world actually is, its why the grittness and darker aspects aren't as intense from season 1, so if they did make everyone over 18 than it would likely just be very similar to season 1. If they did go the route of making Talia over 18 and kept Roman 12 than it would just make her interactions with him seen even worse. As for chibi reviews and the people like him again I just ignore them cause they've been doing weird behavior for years when it comes to minor characters.

It's giving "She looks young but is actually 3000 years old" Like you can tell stories about body dysmorphia without sexualising said character

she's a teenager, 13-19. I honestly assumed she was meant to be 18/19 because of her character design, I don't really see any good arguments for being 14

If you took the designs as sexual and immediately sexualized her then that’s more on you than anyone else tbh

I think that’s the kind of interpretation that I’m not sure I like because it overlooks the obvious aspect that her character was designed by a group of middle age japanese men in a board room with the very obvious secondary objective of selling a sexulizd teenage fantasy to other middle age japanese men otaku. The fact there is a narrative reason behind it doesn’t make it better imo

I thought it was made like this to help show that the universe of cyberpunk is immoral and fucked up. and they do this in a lot of ways for example roman buying beer as a 12 yr old in our world is unthinkable but no one bats a eye in cyberpunk

In night city nudity and sex is dead. The very concept of intimacy is dead, no one is ever startled by her “nudity” because that’s normal clothes are merely a way to demonstrate one’s own social status. We see nudity on billboards and basically everywhere because no one gives a shit about it anymore. Also talia chose to make her body like that, I see it that she wanted to free herself of the shackles that she had thats why she’s nude and acts normal about it

Well it’s not that weird until she is with Roman, so they should not give them love dynamic or give her normal clothes

Nudity isn’t inherently sexual and being puritan about it is just weird *and* Rebecca also had this “issue” in season one with her appearance

personally didn't see it as sexualized but I can see that criticism. I would've felt it in bad taste had they focused on her body like that or made comment on it in the show. The only time it's commented on to my memory is when Avida and Weak first visit her in the hospital saying something along the lines of cover up, and otherwise her body is only really discussed in the context of the mods, not sexually. The dynamic with Roman made me a lot more uncomfortable at times than her overall portrayal I think

Yeah they definitely could have just made both characters adults. Them being kids did nothing for the story.

I didn't see anything sexual??? I've known cyberpunk for years and body's that look that chromed tends to be less clothed to show the mods
