@fromtheisland.sl: The Sinhalese are known for their generosity. But when it comes to political power, why is sharing so difficult? A conversation about power, division, and the challenges of building a more united Sri Lanka.
Just as India values its national unity, sovereignty, and constitutional framework without outside interference, Sri Lanka’s domestic governance and heritage must also be respected. Every nation has its own unique history and democratic processes to navigate. Expressing views on internal matters should be done with respect for the sovereignty and unity of the country concerned

Why do you need shared power? Would you let someone control your own family because you are kind? Kindness and power are 2 different things. Most of people are trying to take use of the kindness of Sinhalese.

This gentleman has understood our core beliefs and values. The very first time someone has put across the core beliefs of the Sinhala Buddhists so succinctly. 👍🏽👏🏽

to be quiet frank it is a fair analysis. But The past 100 years, the Tamils has no history that I am of aware of taking over other countries.
I dont think Tamils need that kind of power either if u asked them other than governing them self in some tamil majority Area.
if u same Tamils that has escaped during the civil war, all of them are doing well in new countries. without taking controll of other nations.
this is a Budisth country there is no denying in that, but Tamils has also been present in Lanka for many years. so many years that it has become their home.
i think allot of problems would have been solved if they got the same opportunities. fairly treated.

There is no need to share power. This is the question the dividers created. They wanted people to believe that there are problems that face only the Tamils and the only way is getting those problems solved is by creating another country. Now it’s gone and this is the new way. Through politics
