📌 If your Istanbul trip falls on October 29 save this! 🇹🇷 It’s 𝗖𝘂𝗺𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗿𝗮𝗺ı (Republic Day) and this year Türkiye celebrates 103 years of the Republic. Expect Turkish flags and Atatürk portraits everywhere, especially around central areas like Taksim, İstiklal, Beşiktaş and Kadıköy. The streets are busier, celebrations are happening around the city and Istanbul feels much more lively than usual! 🗓️ The official holiday begins at 13:00 on October 28 and continues through October 29. ⚠️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 → Museum + attraction schedules can change, so check the exact opening hours → Expect busier public transport + more people around central areas, so plan a little extra time between places → Expect road closures around major celebration areas.
