just a couple of factually things. as of April 2026 which is after this video was made. the HMRC rate was 55p per mile. but that's only for the first 10,000 miles, thereafter it's 25p per mile. its reasonable to assume that any user driver is doing well over 10k miles a year, so its probably more reasonable to use the 25p per mile rate. thats £138, leaving £240. which works out at £24 per hour.
