I love atlases! I’m almost 70 and my kids keep asking if I am getting intellectually disabled!! You can explore any where in the world with an atlas!! Use one for the US when I drive anywhere. Can find attractions and rest areas quickly. David was fortunate to have you as his friend

i wish we could figure out how this class differed from the class that would try to bully this kid. what made this class more curious about David? they saw his special interest as a way to interact and used it as a way to get to know David, instead of something to exclude him over.

This is my son, he can free-hand draw a map of the US, with state lines. He is workin on the world map. (From memory) it’s nearly perfect, he’s been doing it for years, he is 12.

I teach kindergarten and my first year teaching I got 3 amazing kids from the SPED program placed in my classroom as their “homeroom” and allllllllll my kiddos who I had for the full day wanted to play with them constantly to the point where they would complain when my SPED kiddos had to go to their SPED classroom for their subjects

I’ll cry I’m level 2 autism and it makes me so happy to see him treated this way I sometimes have very good experiences too but mostly bad but I wish the world was more like this. I’m glad it at least is for some people. It give me hope :)

Mine LOVES clocks. Told everyone in the family just grab a clock for Christmas. Small, big, analog, digital, I don’t care. Surround the boy with clocks and watch how happy he gets 😂
