This is true. Asante itself started as a confederacy of different groups. When they conquered other people in wars, they integrated them. Asantes are the most cosmopolitan tribe in Ghana. No wonder their kingdom became the largest in Ghana and elsewhere.

This is true. The Akans in general are not tribalistic. I am Akyem and on Akyem land, all other tribes living in Akyem communities have their "chairs" leaders in every Akyem palace. The Krobos, Gas, Ewes etc all have their leaders (chiefs) in the palaces who take part in day-to-day planning of their communities.
