I understand this until he’s on his third 16 hour shift of the week and the foreman asks if he can work Saturday too 🙄 and he ALWAYS says yes too. Like boy, it’s ok to take the 8 hours sometimes and GO HOMEE

Depends on what’s happening at home. Kids need me? See ya? Wife needs me? See ya l. I can be there two hours early to tie the mesh down before the concrete gets there. Can’t get time back from choosing work over kids

what if he had a family commitment? if I have staff that need to work outside of standard hours i will give them at least a weeks notice because I plan for it. if they're available great. if not, I have to move the deadlines or get more resources. buck stops with you not with them.
