My opinion: I think it’s just because she was already embarrassed, and she wanted to maintain control during the fight. So, when she said, “Don’t yell at my mom,” it was just an excuse to justify her own yelling because she didn’t want to be blamed. Honestly, she wasn’t even really defending her mom that much. She was just playing the victim. 🙄🙄
