I was stopped once for running a bus gate at 4:00 a.m.. I was asked why I'd done it. I said I've been driving from 5 hours from the north of England and I'm nearly home. my home is 200 yards on the other. the officer said that's no excuse. I said I know it's not an excuse but you asked me why I did it. and he laughed and we went on our way
