@emooita: 長い石段の参道は、やがて険しい山道へと姿を変える。 その過酷な道の先には、立派な八幡宮の鳥居。 さらに奥の「権現堂」へと進むと、手前の鳥居は柱が折れ、笠や扁額が無惨に地面へ転がっていた。お堂へ渡る道も激しく崩壊している。 人が消えゆく限界集落。この険しい山奥の社を再建する莫大な費用を捻出することは、もはや不可能に近いのだろう。 人を拒むようなアクセスの難しさと、静かに朽ちていく姿。その抗えない儚さこそが、何よりも美しく、心に刺さる。 The long stone steps eventually turn into a rugged mountain trail. Standing beyond that harsh path is a magnificent Hachiman-gu Torii gate. Further inside lies the Gongen-do. However, its Torii gate has broken pillars, with its top and plaque scattered miserably on the ground. The crossing to the hall has also collapsed, making it nearly impossible to approach. In this depopulated village, covering the massive cost to rebuild a shrine deep in these harsh mountains is likely an impossible dream. The incredibly difficult access that seems to reject visitors, and the sight of it quietly decaying into nature.
