@dailyai.uk: Barack Obama delivered a sharp rebuke of D. Trump at a packed Ohio rally, accusing the president of focusing more on White House renovations and self-promotion than the issues facing Americans. Speaking in Cleveland on Saturday, Obama mocked Trump’s renovation projects, including the construction of a new White House ballroom and changes to the Rose Garden. “He should be on HGTV,” Obama joked, before criticizing what he described as the president’s misplaced priorities. Obama also took aim at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, mocking his focus on masculinity and appearance. He told the crowd that the people running the country were “not serious people.” The former president was campaigning for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton and former Senator Sherrod Brown ahead of the midterm elections. He accused the administration of failing to deliver on promises involving foreign conflicts and grocery prices. Obama also condemned a controversial campaign ad targeting Acton, whose Republican opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy, faced backlash over allegations involving her childhood. Acton has spoken publicly about experiencing Ab\*se and neglect as a child, while Ramaswamy’s campaign has argued that its ad focused on her credibility. The controversy drew criticism from some Republicans as well as Democrats. Ramaswamy’s campaign later released a shorter version of the ad, removing a reference challenging Acton’s account of living in a tent as a child. With control of Congress at stake, Obama’s appearance highlighted how sharply divided the campaign has become, as both parties deploy prominent figures to rally voters. Do you think campaign rallies should focus more on policy plans or on criticizing political opponents? \#BarackObama #Trump #OhioPolitics #USPolitics #MidtermElections
