@3d.secret.tik: AHAB Tsunami Siren Drill (Voice & Wail) - Modulator 6048 in Long Beach, WA. Check out my website! - http://www.sirenarchiv... A long, long awaited trip finally happens... For YEARS, I have obsessed over the AHAB siren system on Washington's coast. The state maintains a network of over 120 Modulators, stretching from Oregon all the way to British Columbia. This system has a large number of rare Modulators, those being 6048s. I had never heard one prior to today, and needless to say they are impressively loud. A normal Modulator 6024 has 6 cells with 4x 100 watt drivers in each (aside from the bottom being empty), whereas 6048s have 6 cells with 8x 100 watt drivers in each, double the normal amount. This adds a LOT of punch to these and gives them a boost in range. Months ago I came across this green one that had only been recorded once for a monthly chime test, and since almost all of the other sirens are plain white, I figured this would be a neat choice. Being in Washington for a drill like this felt quite odd, considering I grew up in the Midwest where the only natural disaster drills that take place are duck-and-cover tornado drills. All of the Washington coastline is absolutely gorgeous, and I am very glad I came out here to check out the lovely scenery this state holds, even a ways inland too.
