@nursein.soft: A message for all HCP & students…Your login card is for YOU only. If another nurse/HCP uses your card to access a computer and opens a patient’s records, the activity may be traced back to your account. You could be left having to explain actions you did not carry out, and cause a bigger situation. #Nursing #Nurse #nurselife #nursingtiktok #registerednurse
It’s crazy how often this happens… Literally every single day where I work… Having smart cards was a very stupid decision, people forget to bring them in all the time… nothing wrong with a username and password, you can’t leave that at home

We caught someone using their managers card, the caller said no I'm not, but was struggling to say the right name
I only clocked someone else logged in and admitting the card was used when they admitted it, and when the correct person was signed into the PC.
The managers card was cancelled meaning they had to reapply, and had to redo cyber training.
Don't share credentials or cards, it ain't worth it, or us IT staff will catch you in the act!

More Trusts need to move to electronic smart cards and only use the physical cards as backups. The electronic smart card is so much better, the password pop-up is linked to your computer log in so only pops up when you log in to the computer with your details. No excuses to be asking to borrow a smart card this way. Also if electronic smart cards are deemed too expensive departments/site management should be made to have spare smart cards that people can borrow. With the whole IG issue it’s not worth sharing anything IT related nowadays got to cover your own back
